All Trainings are held from 8:30am to 4:00pm
Participants in Mandt System Training learn verbal and physical ways
to de-escalate aggressive behaviors. Other expectations from the
course include:
*Learn how to deal with the crisis cycle
*Improve communication skills
*Learn appropriate physical interaction skills
*Understand liability and legal issues
Basic Level Training is a one-day training designed for those who
interact on a daily basis with people who, for the most part, are
cooperative. The importance of de-escalating and interacting with
people is promoted.
Intermediate Level Training is a two-day training designed for those
who interact on a daily basis with people who may become
uncooperative and or confused. This training provides interpersonal
interaction and physical skills for use in most situations.
Recertification training is to add to the skills base of each
participant to make sure there is consistency in the techniques
promoted in Basic and Intermediate Trainings. To recertify Basic
Level Training, participants will need to attend ½ day. Those
recertifying Intermediate Level Training will attend the full day.
Certification does need to be renewed annually.
